FESTIVALS, CELEBRATIONS AND ACTIVITIES
Indian culture is a mix bag of learning. We have a cosmopolitan culture so our tiny tots are exposed to all kinds of culture. The Primrose Preschool children at large celebrate almost all festivals to name some, Raksha Bandhan, Eid, Parsi New Year, Janamashtami, Ganapati, Navratri, Diwali, Christmas, etc.
National Celebrations like Independence Day, Republic Day and Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm.
Competitive Activities like Drawing and Colouring, Sports day, Story Telling, Clay Moulding, Recitation, Public Speaking, Handwriting, Shloka, Reading etc. are held in school.
Life skill activities like Yoga, Sports Day, Chef Day, healthy eating habits, Bus safety, Good touch - Bad touch and Picnic etc. are imparted to the students through various modalities.
Celebrations are a part of learning in preschool, thus we celebrate Children's Day, Grandparents Day, Muppet Show, Annual Concert and Farewell.
Educational Trips are held to bring awareness in students on different aspects of life. We take students to Traffic Signal Park, Nature Park, Bus Depot, Police Station, Fire Station and Post Office.
The Primrose Preschool section of Thakur Public School is like a garden where the little buds in our care learn to bloom and flower.
- It is the first step towards formal schooling. Children are in the affectionate care of their teachers who guide them through their formative years.
- A judicious mix of play and studies ensures all round development.
- Children are exposed to Puppet shows and Muppet shows to reinforce concepts.
- They are encouraged to sing, dance and recite to enable them to overcome stage fear and verbalize their feelings.
- The Sports Day for the Pre-primary section hones their competitive spirit and develops their physical capacity.
- The Annual Concert gives them an opportunity to showcase their talent and be confident.
- At the same time the little ones are put through their paces as they learn the basics of the three R's.
- The Curriculum is activity based which is a mix of Montessori and play way method.
- The pre-primary section endeavours to provide a happy learning environment, where pupils love to come to school. Each day is an exciting, learning experience for them.
